ISNetworld® is a contractor prequalification platform. Hiring clients use it to verify that the contractors and suppliers they engage meet their safety, insurance and documentation standards before work begins, and to monitor that status while the relationship continues.
ISN® compliance means your ISNetworld® account meets the requirements each of your hiring clients has set, so they can approve you for work. That covers the Management System Questionnaire (MSQ®), written safety programs reviewed through RAVS®, insurance certificates, injury and OSHA data, and training records. Not in the usual sense. ISNetworld® is a prequalification platform, so there is no single certificate to earn. What people call ISN® certification is an account that meets a hiring client's requirements. That standing has to be kept up as documents expire and requirements change, which is the work we manage.

We are in no way endorsed, sponsored, approved by, or otherwise affiliated with ISNetworld®. We work for you, the contractor: our team prepares, submits and maintains what your ISN® account requires so your hiring clients can approve you for work.
Most contractors discover that being listed in ISNetworld® is not the same as being compliant in it. Your account carries a separate set of obligations for every hiring client that has connected to you, and each of those clients can set its own thresholds for documentation, insurance limits and program content. A single expired certificate or an unanswered questionnaire item can move you out of an acceptable status without anyone telling you first.
It covers the questionnaire responses, the written safety programs submitted for review, insurance certificates, injury and OSHA data, training records, and the additional requirements each hiring client layers on top. Compliance management means keeping all of it accurate as those requirements change.
It depends on your work scopes and on what each hiring client asks for. Your written safety programs are submitted through RAVS® and reviewed against those requirements, and a program that leaves out a required element comes back for correction. The most common reason a submission comes back is not a missing program. It is a program that says the right thing in the wrong form. Reviewers work against a defined set of criteria, and a document that covers a topic in general terms without addressing each required element the way the criteria expect will be returned even though the underlying practice on your jobsites is sound.
The other recurring causes are quieter.
- Coverage limits that were adequate last year no longer match a client's updated threshold.
- A questionnaire answer references a document that has since been replaced.
- A new hiring client connects and brings requirements nobody has looked at yet.
None of these show up as a dramatic failure. They surface as a status change that somebody notices only when a crew is told they cannot get through the gate.

Scoring reflects how completely and accurately your account has been populated and how well your submitted documentation meets the criteria applied to it. Because hiring clients can set their own requirements, your standing can differ from one client to another within the same account.
