What is an LMS?
An LMS (Learning Management System) is software that assigns, delivers, and tracks training online. Instead of managing paper certificates or spreadsheets, you assign courses to employees, they complete them on their own schedule, and the system automatically tracks who's done what, when it expires, and what's coming due next. Our LMS, SafetyConnect, is a full-service, online platform that helps you manage your company's safety and compliance training.
Do I receive dedicated support with my subscription?
Yes, dedicated support comes with the service at no additional cost. Our team can help you with as much or as little as you need, from scheduling to following up with employees.
Can SafetyConnect track employee records and certifications?
Yes, SafetyConnect keeps track of all employee training and includes automated reminders. It also houses reports, certifications, and wallet cards that can be printed or downloaded.
Can I build my own courses in SafetyConnect?
Yes, you can upload your own proprietary training materials, such as PowerPoints, videos, or any other file type, to the platform and deploy them through the online system.
Can SafetyConnect integrate with our existing systems?
Yes, we can create an API to connect with your other systems, such as your internal communications or payroll platform, to pull in information automatically.
What types of courses are available?
We have a catalog of 80,000+ courses covering a vast range of topics, from Microsoft Excel to hazardous waste management. We offer a variety of formats for each topic, including hands-on application videos, animated videos, and even virtual reality-style courses. Spanish versions are available as well.
What kind of reporting is available?
SafetyConnect has robust reporting capabilities on the back end. You can track who has completed their training, who is falling behind, and generate an automated paper trail for compliance purposes. You can also get monthly reports on who has logged in and what they have done.
What if I need to add or remove employees?
It's simple to manage users. If a new employee replaces an old one and the login hasn't been used, you can just switch the name. If the login has been used, we can prorate the license so you don't have to pay for a full year for the new user.
How does SafetyConnect handle in-person training components?
The online courses are designed for awareness-level training. For certifications that require an in-person component, we offer "train the trainer" kits. Some online courses also offer a virtual, more hands-on option.
