What MSHA services do we offer?

Safety Services Company offers 52 safety training meetings that can be applied toward the annual MSHA refresher training program (Part 46.8) and a MSHA Form 5000-23 Certificate of Training for each employee to be issued and filled out by the employer upon completion. We also offer a Surface Workplace Checklist and Legal Identity Report.

Annual msha refresher training: You must provide each miner with no less than 8 hours of msha annual refresher training; no later than 12 months after the miner begins work at the mine; and thereafter, no later than 12 months after the previous annual refresher training was completed.

  • The refresher msha safety training must include instruction on changes at the mine that could adversely affect the miner's health or safety; and health and safety subjects that are relevant to mining operations at the mine.
  • Rule 46 requires that records of each worker's training be recorded on MSHA Form 5000-23 or a similar form containing all of the information on the MSHA form. Records of refresher training also must be made and kept. These records must be maintained at the mine and made available for inspection.
