Attention all employers! Better get a copy of the latest revised Field Operations Manual by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). In Chapter 3 of this manual, you’ll find the revised standards in conducting inspections. In fact, it does not just discuss policies and procedures in conducting inspections, but also those in planning, concluding and following up on them.
The said manual is actually a replacement of OSHA’s Field Inspection Reference Manual, published in 1994. According to OSHA, the new manual comes with an updated source of instruction on general OSHA enforcement policies and procedures.
